Rihanna showed up two hours late to a performance in Montreal on Sunday night. But unlike the fans of Justin Bieber, who booed the teen star for showing up late at a London performance, fans of the "Stay" songtress were more understanding and RiRi took to Twitter to show her appreciation.

"You owned my LIFE yesterday!! Thank you for that, you were BRILLIANT!!," Rihanna tweeted about the show.

Rihanna has been recovering from laryngitis and has already cancelled two performances in the first week of her "Diamonds" world tour. The fans seemed to understand this as they gave her a positive reception when she finally did take the stage.

According to the Sun, RiRi did struggle to hit some high notes as her voice is still recovering.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have been tabloid fodder ever since a domestic abuse scandal in 2009. Pictures of Rihanna's battered face spread around the gossip magazines and news outlets like wildfire and, for a time, Brown was considered somewhat of a pariah. He didn't help his image much with high-profile freakouts on Today show, nightclub fights with Drake and parking lot scuffles with crooner Frank Ocean

The pair (Brown, in particular) seems to have overcome the incident and appear to be back in a committed relationship.

Rihanna has been in the news lately for a rumored marriage to troubled R&B singer and on-again, off-again boyfriend Chris Brown.

The story about a rumored Carnival-style wedding broke in Now magazine.

"She wants to get married in her bikini and have a carnival atmosphere. They want it to be relaxed and fun, like a "playground", and to celebrate with the people who have stood by them," an unnamed insider told the magazine.

What do you think? Are Breezy and RiRi getting married? Why are Rihanna fans more forgiving?
