Chelsea Handler has changed her mind about getting married, after previously stating she isn't marriage material. The comedian is now considering marriage after filming her Netflix documentary series on the subject. Handler may have changed her mind on marriage, but still has no interest in having children.

Handler previously told More magazine, "I’ve never been proposed to, and I don’t know that that’s in my future. I don’t know that I’m marriage material. I don’t know if I would ever want to be someone’s wife. It makes breaking up much more complicated."

The 40-year-old comedian is starring in a four-episode documentary series for Netflix, Chelsea Does, exploring various topics including drugs, marriage, racism and technology. Handler appears to have had a change of heart during filming about the possibility of getting married.

Chelsea told People, "I never understood why people would want to get married. To me, marriage always encompassed a huge wedding and a huge reception and a commitment lumped together. But I realize now that you can be committed to someone without that commercialization and all that nonsense. So now I'd get married. Now that I'm single and have no viable options."

The comedian dated rapper 50 Cent back in 2010 and discussed their relationship on Oprah's Next Chapter.

She also dated television executive Ted Harbert, her employer on Chelsea Lately for four years from 2006 to 2010. Her most recent relationship was with hotelier Andre Balazs for two years until 2013.

Although Handler is open to the prospect of getting married, she still isn't interested in being a mother.

She explained, "I'd have to over-correct so much from my parents that I would be a nightmare mother. If my niece has a bad day at school, I worry about it for three days. I'd be such a helicopter parent. I'd drive my child crazy!"

Chelsea's docuseries will reportedly be released on Netflix on January 23.
