Janet Jackson recently postponed her Unbreakable World Tour, her first time on the road in nearly a decade, saying her doctors had informed her she had to go through surgery, prompting speculation that she might have had a throat cancer scare. Now, the "Rhythm Nation" singer speaks out about and denies those rumors on social media.

According to CNN, the singer took to the social network to deny rumors that the reason she postponed her shows was due to throat cancer, sharing that she was currently recovering from the still-unnamed surgery but she'd be back for the European wing of her tour.

"I do not have cancer. I am recovering. The doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled," wrote the star in a clip where she begged her fans only to remember things that come straight from her. "Thank you for your prayers and love."

Her latest message came after she quoted her own song, "The Great Forever," in a sing-along clip, then writing down the short message to deny claims that her condition is too serious.

While Jackson had already postponed a few of her shows late last year, The Guardian reports that the confirmation that her tour would be postponed didn't come until Christmas Eve, when the legendary 49-year-old singer shared on Twitter that she required surgery and therefore would have to take a rain check on a number of her shows to recover. At the time she also added that she'd have no further comment on her health, but the growing rumors forced her into speaking out again.

Before releasing the clip, Jackson's reps went on her Twitter to say she would only be speaking out of the growing concern for her well being after Radar Online published a story last Tuesday claiming she was close to a cancer diagnosis.
