Another superhero TV series is coming to your television set soon, but this time it's not all about the men. CBS has committed to "Supergirl" as a new comic-book-inspired series. The first casting news for the super show has been announced — see who the network is looking for to join the new superhero series. The Eye Network landed the superhero project from Greg Berlanti, who created "Arrow" and "The Flash," and Ali Adler, who worked on Chuck, "E! Online" confirmed in September. "Supergirl" will follow Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, who is 24 as she starts to embrace her powers and become the super girl she was meant to be. Two new TV series have officially been cancelled by NBC. "Bad Judge" and "A to Z" were cut from the NBC lineup Friday, Oct. 31. They will, however, finish out their first seasons. Each first-year comedy will not be renewed for a sophomore season, but they will finish out their 13-episode season, "TV Guide" confirmed. The news broke after both series received low ratings. "At 9/8c, 'Bad Judge' drew 3.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. At 9:30/8:30c, 'A to Z' attracted just 2.49 million and a 0.7 rating," "TV Guide" reported.
