Daft Punk's highly anticipated new album Random Access Memories will be released May 21. However, fans may not be able to contain themselves to get to the French duo's new album. Maybe one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2013 has been marketed beautifully by Daft Punk and Columbia Records. With plenty of secrecy surrounding the band's album and rumored tour, they have released teaser's during "Saturday Night Live" and preview video's via "The Collaborators" video series. With a preview also featured at Coachella recently, the band's promotion has hit a whole new level. NBC's "The Voice" finished up their season 4 blind auditions last week and Monday night Shakira and Usher got their first taste of the battle rounds. In this next round of competition, contestants are pitted against each other with only one moving on. Each coach gets two steals which they can use to take a singer from one of the other coach's battle round losers. Each coach also brings on a celebrity mentor for their team. Adam Levin chose Lady Antebellum's lead singer Hillary Scott, Blake Shelton chose Sheryl Crow, Shakira has Joel Madden, and Usher's team mentor is Pharrell Williams. Read More »

By now you have probably heard of Louisville University guard Kevin Ware. The basketball player became famous instantly, but not for the reasons he would've liked after he suffered a gruesome leg injury on television during the Midwest Regional Final game of the NCAA tournament. The March Madness game was televised on CBS, who had to eventually stop showing replays, because the broken leg injury was so horrific to watch. Ware immediately was trending across the Internet and social media and eventually became the motivation for his Louisville teammates to go on and win the NCAAA National Championship over Michigan just days later. Legendary metal band Black Sabbath are about to debut their new single during "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's" season 13 finale on May 15. CBS's long running crime drama has been a big time ratings winner for the network and will give Black Sabbath some mainstream publicity for their new single "End of the Beginning" off their new album 13. Beyonce not only is launching her "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour today (April 15) in Belgrade, Serbia, but the singer is a high profile spokesperson for various brands including Pepsi and H&M. You probably have already seen the Pepsi commercials featuring Beyonce and Timbaland's "Grown Woman" single in the company's "Live for NOW" campaign. Kmart decided to go the humor and viral video route in their latest marketing campaign. Their 35 second video which has gone viral on YouTube, is a bit edgy, but also uses social media to market their commercial for them. The video titled, "Ship My Pants" has been a huge success on the Internet, but it remains to be seen if it translates into more sales for the national store.
