Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff in the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night, and the team report that he will fly back to LA to be examined by team doctors, missing the team's game against reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs this Friday. It raises the question of, after three straight seasons of major injuries whether or not, the 36 year old superstar will retire, or play out the last remaining year on his mammoth contract. The NFL's 'DeflateGate' has an update. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has said that he had no knowledge of the 11 of 12 game balls being under-inflated until he was told about it on Monday, adding that he was "shocked" by the news. He then left it to quarterback Tom Brady to explain his preferences, and that he has "no explanation for what happened." Baltimore Ravens player Chris Canty has said that DeflateGate is the same as using PEDs and is against the integrity of the game. The whopping new evaluations come as two of those eleven, the league-leading Atlanta Hawks and struggling, Russian-owned Brooklyn Nets are up for sale (potentially, at least, with the Nets), and the league enjoying a league-wide boom in revenue.
