Shocking news of the day: Lionel Messi was the best soccer player on the planet in 2015. OK, that's not all that surprising. Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are all eyeing the FIFA world player of the year award, as is current Manchester United star Angel Di Maria.
