The final trailer of the Divergent Series: Allegiant, based on Veronica Roth's Divergent Series is finally here. The fans have been waiting for the series' third installment after the second film Insurgent. The trailer was about Tris Prior's (Shailene Woodley) character learning that she is 100 percent genetically pure, or as what the movie calls -- divergent while her partner Four (Theo James) and some other members of the team are somewhat genetically damaged as shown in the trailer. Shailene Woodley filmed some scenes as Mary Jane Watson for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the director cut those scenes from the movie, purportedly to make the story more concise and have a better pace. Webb has said Mary Jane would return in a future movie, presumably The Amazing Spider-Man 3. But Woodley may not step back into the role. Read More »
Divergent is carrying on a long-standing trend of movies marketed at tweens that also happen to have insanely deep soundtrack rosters for adults to enjoy. MStars reported last summer that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb made the decision to cut Shailene Woodley's scenes as Mary Jane Watson from the superhero sequel.
