Colin Cowherd Leaving ESPN Radio

This year ESPN announced Bill Simmons is leaving the sports brand he called home for more than a decade. Now another high-profile host is also leaving. Colin Cowherd of the popular radio show The Herd, is walking out the door right behind him. Of course, while its unknown where Simmons is headed, Cowherd may already have a home. This was the mindset ESPN had going into their signing of Bill Simmons 15-years-ago and in terms of being a golden goose, Simmons has been the brightest and goosiest free agent pickup of them all. Bill Simmons Released by ESPN

It happened suddenly. The always fruitful, yet sometimes tumultuous relationship between Bill Simmons and ESPN has come to an end after company president John Skipper announced that the Sports Guy's contract will not be renewed. As a matter of fact, Simmons was released from ESPN more than four months before his contract was set to expire. Since the break, Simmons has been surprisingly silent.
