LA Times Reporter Loses job, Wins big at Poker

Losing a job is the worst. In an instant your world goes from 'hmm, I wonder what's for lunch today' to 'OMG, I can't even afford a bagel.' Your life spirals into a scary world of unknown greeted by infinite feelings of stress and anxiety. And yet, this is a reality many people face at one point in life or another. Take Stuart Pfeifer, for example. The 51-year-old had been a Los Angeles Times reporter for 15 years before taking a buyout last month, ending his 28-year-long career in the field. Jack And Kate Spade Launch Collaboration With GapKids And It's Unbelievably Cute!

Back in April, Jack and Kate Spade announced they had signed on to partner with GapKids on a limited-edition collection for children, set to hit stores just in time for the holidays. According to the "Los Angeles Times," childrenswear will be a new category for the pair of Spades. The women's line, Kate Spade New York, started with handbags in 1993, while the Jack Spade men's brand followed with satchel and carry-alls in 1996.
