Bill Kennedy, longtime NBA referee, has announced that he is gay. Kennedy's announcement comes on the heels of the NBA's suspension of Sacramento Kings guard, Rajon Rondo, who allegedly yelled anti-gay slurs following his ejection from a game on Dec. 3 in Mexico City--a game that Kennedy refereed. Smith was averaging 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists this season for the Pistons. But Detroit has struggled mightily, getting off to a 5-23 record to start the season. Releasing Smith was step one in starting their roster over. If Smith joins the Rockets, he'll compliment a roster that started the year 20-7 and sits in fourth place in the highly competitive Western Conference. The transaction would also serve as a counterpunch to the Dallas Mavericks, who traded for former Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo this week. The Mavericks sit two games behind Houston in the loss column. Read More »
Does the addition of All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo make the Dallas Mavericks legitimate NBA title contenders? That's the question of the hour. What better way to answer it then by pitting the newly-minted team against the reigning champion San Antonio Spurs? Rondo made his debut Saturday, Dec. 19, after being traded by the Boston Celtics earlier in the week in a move that brought doom and gloom upon Boston fans. But Dallas fans are happy, especially after the Rondo-led Mavericks topped the Spurs 99-93, according to "USA Today." Rondo was his usual versatile self, scoring six points and adding nine assists and seven rebounds. He entered the game averaging 10.8 assists per game, a category in which he led the league from 2011-13. On a recent ESPN poll, 74 percent of readers said adding Rondo makes the Mavericks championship contenders, while just 17 percent said they were legitimate contenders already. Read More »

Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics All Star point guard and championship star, has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks, joining Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis, Chandler Parson and Tyson Chandler in the biggest NBA trade of the 2014-15 season so far. The Celtics will reportedly receive Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson and both a future 1st and 2nd round draft pick for the temperamental Rondo. It's a clear tanking move from the Celtics who will now look to land a Top 5 pick in the 2015 NBA draft to pair with this year's lottery pick, Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart. Read More »
Blake Griffin looks set to get in to huge trouble for allegedly assaulting somebody in club. Could the LA Clippers give up on the star, allowing for him to leave? If so, would Chris Paul remain, or would he want to move to the Cleveland Cavaliers, or even the Boston Celtics? There has been a lot of NBA trade rumours, suggesting that Kevin Love of the Cavs would love to move to the LA Lakers, but could he move to the Clippers instead? Mark Wahlberg is a man that often gets what he wants, and it seems that he wants to put Boston back on the map. Firstly, he's helped to convince Tom Brady to ditch the New England Patriots to join the 'Ted 2' movie cast, and now he is trying to convince Kevin Durant and/or Russell Westbrook to join the Boston Celtics. If such a deal takes place, the Celtics will lose Rajon Rondo. Mark seems to have his way in the movie business, with the NBA, and with the NFL, but can he get everything he's after in the coming year or so? Read More »
Blake Griffin has for a long while been seen as fundamental to the Los Angeles Clippers and their NBA championship dreams that they harbour, but that might soon change. The Clippers' center was recently out partying in a night club, with recent allegations emrging, suggesting that he assaulted a 39-year-old man over a cell phone. Now rumours are suggesting the Clippers are fed up of his attitude, and if he avoids a jail sentence, they may just trade him, and quite possibly for Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics, or another equally big-named player. Russell Westbrook thought he had it all. He and Kevin Durant have finally seen the Miami Heat era through, and now it's their time to shine, or is it? Westbrook also recently proposed to Nina Earl, but it seems the newly engaged couple might be on the move, much to Durant's anger. There's talk of him being traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder, to the NBA legends the Boston Celtics with Rajon Rondo coming the other way. Does this trade make sense, or would OKC be messing with something good? The Thunder want an NBA title, but upsetting Durant ahead of free agency just might not work out too well, just ask LeBron James. Read More »
