Miami Marlins Deal Stuns MLB With Giancarlo Stanton Contract

Giancarlo Stanton was an unknown newcomer not so long ago, but now, as well as becoming one of the biggest stars in the MLB, he is now up there with the best-paid athletes in world sport. He has signed a $325M 13-year-contract with the Miami Marlins, and owner Jeffrey Loria has hailed his star. Stanton will now move alongside stars such as Floyd Mayweather, Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Matt Ryan and Roger Federer, but will the Marlins live to regret this deal, and could it bring a salary cap to the MLB?
