'The New York Times' Corrects A Kanye West Satire Article

Does "The New York Times" really owe Kanye West and apology? According to "Us Weekly," the major media outlet really may have to say the words "I'm sorry" to Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian. According to the site, "The New York Times's" august newspaper record revealed that it accidentally published fake comments in the satirical piece "Fear of Kim Kardashian's Derriere" last week, and had to make a correction Saturday, Nov. 22. "An earlier version of this column was published in error," the statement said. "That version included what purported to be an interview that Kanye West gave to a Chicago radio station in which he compared his own derrière to that of his wife, Kim Kardashian. Mr. West’s quotes were taken, without attribution, from the satirical website The Daily Currant. There is no radio station WGYN in Chicago; the interview was fictitious, and should not have been included in the column." The article was written by Joyce Wadler and gives readers a laugh when describing Kim Kardashian's assets, which "broke the Internet" in a recent nude photo shoot for "Paper" magazine. Read More »
