Fans of the CW's Arrow are waiting for Season 4 to resume on Wednesday, January 20, specifically to learn the status of Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak. A new promo might prove the theory that Felicity is in a wheelchair following Damien Darhk's attack in the midseason finale. There are major spoilers ahead, so be warned.

In the midseason finale in December, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) asked Felicity to marry him after rescuing her from Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and she gleefully agreed. The two were driving away in the back of a limo when Darhk's men attacked with a hail of gunfire. Oliver managed to drive them away, but Felicity was struck by at least one (likely multiple) bullets and rendered unconscious in the back of the car.

From there, fans wondered if the flash forward in the Season 4 premiere had become a reality. Had Darhk actually killed Felicity? Would this prove that she was the one in the grave at the end of that episode?

But then more theories developed, and the most likely possibility was that Felicity would be left paralyzed from the attack. After all, fans have long viewed her as a character similar to Barbara Gordon aka Oracle in the Batman universe because of their tech prowess and their roles in guiding field missions from the home base.

Set photos from upcoming episodes of Arrow then seemingly revealed that Felicity would be in a wheelchair, which led many fans to believe the theory had been confirmed; however, executive producer Marc Guggenheim then went on Twitter to clarify that the scene in the photos was a hallucination.

That seemed to be the end of the story, but a new Australian video promo now seems to confirm that Felicity will in fact be paralyzed from the attack.
