VH1 reality star/rapper, Ahmad "Real" Givens from "Real Chance of Love," has recently been diagnosed with stage-4 colon cancer, his rep told TMZ on Thursday.

"Real," brother of Kamal "Chance" Givens, once fought for love as a contestant on the reality dating game show "I Love New York" and will now fight for his life in his battle with cancer.

The 33-year-old rapper-turned-reality star first became ill in January with what he thought at the time was just a case of the flu, reports TMZ. When his condition didn't improve after multiple hospital visits, doctors thought something might be wrong with his liver. The initial theories were proven wrong last week when they diagnosed Real with stage-four colon cancer.

As Us Weekly notes, a stage-four diagnosis generally means the disease has spread to other parts of the body. Doctors are weighing Givens' treatment options now, and his rep says they expect to make a decision soon. In the meantime, the 'Stallionaires' rapper is being cared for at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Upon hearing this unfortunate news, fellow VH1 reality star Ray J ("For the Love of Ray J) tweeted on Tuesday:

"Just talked to "Chance" he told me to tell the world to pray for his bro "Real" he has stage 4 colon cancer! Pls send out a prayer for him!"

Another infamous VH1 reality celebrity, Tiffany 'New York' Pollard ("I Love New York") also tweeted about the news:

"I just found out.I jus spoke 2him 3weeks ago. My prayers go out to him and his family. He has a relationship with God,he's gonna b ok"

She followed up a few hours later with:

"4 everyone who's hittin me up and wonderin'...My heart goes out for Ahmad & his family. We r still frnds.I jus txted him. This isn't about me."

'New York' was the lady that gave Ahmad his nickname back when the two Givens brothers & "Stallionaires" rappers were originally contestants on her hit reality show, which was a spinoff from the VH1 reality dating game show that started it all: "Flavor of Love." Upon meeting Ahmad on "I Love New York," Tiffany immediately named him "Real" because of his down-to-earth personality. The name stuck with him as he and Chance gained their own spinoff series from the network in 2008, "Real Chance of Love."

Friends, family, and fans of Real have been showing their support by making donations through the fundraising website Give Forward, where Ahmad has a page that was set up on his behalf: Cancer Fund for Real. The description states that they are trying to raise funds for Real's illness due to his insurance only covering 40% of his medical bills. Over $10,000 has already been raised for Ahmad.

We hope that Real remains strong and positive so that he can have a "real chance" at surviving his battle with stage-4 colon cancer.
