America Ferrera and Eva Longoria recently talked about their hilarious Golden Globes joke at TCA this week. Each actress explained how the bit came about and revealed that Ferrera actually wrote the funny sketch.

Days after the Globes, people are still talking about the bit that Longoria and Ferrera did while presenting the award for Best Actor In a TV Drama. Even these two fabulous ladies are talking about their skit. Both spoke out at TCA and explained just how their funny bit came about. As it turns out all the thanks and glory for the funny presentation actually goes to Ferrrera, who ended up writing the bit.

While appearing on a panel for her show Telenovela, Longoria revealed that the jokes that the Golden Globes originally sent over were pretty bad, so she and Ferrera both went back to their respective TV show's writing team. In the end it was the former Ugly Betty star's writing team that came up with the jokes we all saw on air.

For her part Longoria admitted she did not actually see the jokes until the day of the show but she obviously thought it was funny.

During the panel for her show Superstore, Ferrera shared that it was Justin Spitzer who is really the one who penned the one-liners. Spitzer is the writer and executive producer for Superstore. The actress revealed that the two were throwing around ideas when Spitzer came up with the idea to play on that fact that Ferrera was called Gina Rodriguez when the awards show nominations were announced. Despite her claims it was all him, he piped in to let it be known that the Latino beauty actually wrote most of the joke.

Although the material was clearly very funny, it was also the chemistry between these two talented women that made it work. They have been friends since both were on hit ABC shows years ago. It is that friendship and chemistry that made the entire skit flow so smoothly.

Here's hoping these two are invited to do it all again next year, or perhaps at the Emmy Awards in the fall!
