Jimmy Fallon had a rough year full of freak accidents and injuries, which some speculated was due to excessive drinking. NBC bosses have addressed the reports about The Tonight Show host, denying that Fallon has a drinking problem.

NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt tried to shut down the tabloid reports about Fallon, telling reporters Wednesday that the late night host "doesn’t have a drinking problem that any of us know about."

Greenblatt said that Fallon goes out and has fun, admitting he has had some accidents but is in great shape.

Greenblatt did add they are "always worried about his safety and health. There’s been conversations about that. The stories are exaggerated about all of it. I don’t know to what extent. I haven’t been part of it. I don’t have those conversations with Jimmy Fallon."

In July 2014, the Tonight Show host nearly had to have his finger amputated after catching his wedding ring on the side of a table and nearly severing his finger. Fallon was in the ICU for 10 days having reconstructive surgery.

Hours before the incident he was spotted at the Italian restaurant Scalinatella in Manhattan, drinking wine and posing for photos with fans.

Just a month later, the host shared with fans on Instagram that he had chipped his front tooth trying to open scar tissue medication for his finger injury.

In October, Fallon was holding a bottle of Jägermeister and greeting fans when he tripped over a woman who bent down in front of him at Harvard, falling onto the bottle which immediately became broken glass and injured his hand.

Witness Ryan Schuster, who attended the Harvard Lampoon event said of the incident, "He just fell on it. We all thought he did it on purpose.”

Schuster said Fallon made it look like a joke, adding, "He got right back up and started saying, 'Someone get me more Jäger.'"

Sources at NBC reportedly started worrying about Fallon's partying ways. An insider revealed to the New York Post, "It's gone from being a whisper to a chatter."

Fallon's former Saturday Night Live cast mate, Horatio Sanz, previously revealed they were both "super-functioning alcoholics, definitely."

Fallon, who rakes in around $11 million a year, married Nancy Juvonen in December 2007 and they have two daughters together. The couple are parents to 2-year-old Winnie and 14-month-old Frances, who were both born via surrogates.
