Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger sees social media platforms--such as Twitter and Facebook--as a growing problem in sport today. The Frenchman says that they evoke more aggression and general nastiness toward teams--something that can cause a snowball like effect.

"It might be one of the problems that football has to face in the coming years. You see it in many countries now, more and more," Wenger told The Telegraph. "Maybe with the social networks, everybody is allowed opinions and can strengthen that opinion with other people who have the same opinion.

"Before your opinion was a bit more isolated. Today straight away it becomes a stream of people who think the same way and they become a force. Maybe that's the reason, I don't know."

And while he does see a problem with social media in London, as well as all of England, he says it's even worse in his native France, where Paris Saint-Germain are the runaway winners of the league year after year, which is tough on clubs who are used to success.

"That is not easy to experience. Here [in England] we complain because anyone can win the league, but it's much more interesting, because fans keep hope as well," Wenger told ESPN. "In clubs like Lyon and Marseille who are used to fighting for the championship, it's difficult to experience that suddenly there's no hope."

That's also not to say Arsenal fans are above this type of behavior. Wenger has been the subject of constant abuse ever since he last won the league since the 2003-4 season. This year, however, it should be a little harder for fans of the club to be in an uproar. Arsenal are joint leaders of the Premier League, and are still in other cup competitions such as the Champions League and the FA Cup.

OK, it's time for somebody to tweet something. Until then, here's some of Arsenal's best stuff.
