There isn't a lot that is known about Star Trek Beyond, but a new video taken from the set of the highly-anticipated sequel has just revealed a small, adorable detail: John Cho's Hikaru Sulu has a daughter and she will be an important part of the film!

Entertainment Tonight recently visited the cast of Star Trek Beyond on the set, where Karl Urban, who plays Bones McCoy, revealed that the Enterprise crew has been on a mission for two years. In addition to that, Cho shared a prop picture featuring a little girl and confirmed that it is, in fact, Sulu's baby.

"In the beginning of the movie, we're all homesick," Cho explained. "I think we've been around each other too long and that's sort of where it starts, and Sulu has a heartache for his little baby and he's brought his picture to his console."

The surprising part isn't the fact that Sulu has a child; it's the possibility that the little girl could have a story of her own.

"There is another revelation that you will find out in regards to this baby, but then you'll have to wait and see the movie," Cho teased.

What is this revelation? Fans may already have an idea of who the little girl could be. Star Trek Beyond might actually feature the younger version of Demora Sulu, who has appeared in Star Trek Generations.

Demora was played by Jacqueline Kim and also served as ensign and helmsman for the Enterprise.

Star Trek Beyond is directed by Justin Lin and also stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin. The film will introduce Idris Elba, Kingsman: The Secret Service star Sofia Boutella and Fast & Furious 6's Joe Taslim as new villains and is scheduled for release on July 22.
