The Marvel Cinematic Universe Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. prequel, Agent Carter, is back for its season 2 right after Martin Luther King Day 2016, and Hayley Atwell's Peggy is as awesome as she's ever been. Ahead of the big premiere, the cast has spoken a little about the new season of the girl power show, so find out what details to expect about Peggy's move to Hollywood, California this season!

A few of the biggest outlets, including MTV, have already gotten a glimpse of the second season of the show, and there are already a few details on what to expect from the first few episodes of Peggy's adventures in L.A., including the return of a major villain from the first season: the Red Room-trained Dottie Underwood (Bridget Reagan), who's coming back for a second shot at Soviet dominance.

Still, there are plenty more characters to be excited about in this second season, most notoriously Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett), a Hollywood actress/inventor (a personality obviously based on Hedy Lamarr) with some evil thoughts on her head. For non-comic book fans, Whitney Frost happens to be the legal name of a supervillain called Madame Masque, a mentally unstable master strategist from the Iron Man comics.

Peggy also finds a new ally, besides the growing number of foes.  Most interesting is Jason Wilkes, played by Reggie Austin, an African American doctor trying to make his way into the world of science despite being a minority in the 1940s --- something Peggy can definitely relate, in her own struggle being taken into account as a smart and talented lady at that time.

Rotten Tomatoes reports that the cast of the show has also been pretty excited talking about the second season, leaving a trail of little trivia behind. For example, now that Peggy and Jarvis (James D'Arcy) have left New York for California, it appears like L.A. has turned into a character of its own, including iconic venues at the Griffith Observatory -- and even pulling bodies out of the river!

The Agent Carter season 2 premieres next Tuesday as a two-hour event on ABC.
