With a new year comes more expansion from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and ABC has confirmed a long-running rumor: one of the most popular characters from Agents of SHIELD, Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki), will be getting her own spinoff, Marvel's Most Wanted -- and this is what we know so far!

According to IGN, after months of speculation, Marvel TV has finally confirmed that Most Wanted is coming to ABC, or at least it seems more likely now: the show just got a pilot order.

"We love the script," said Paul Lee, the President of ABC Entertainment Group, told the outlet. "We think it's going to be great. We're doing that in the next few months."

Nick Blood, who plays Lance Hunter in Agents (Mockingbird's on-again and off-again romance) will be joining Palicki in the upcoming pilot, in an episode that was co-written by two of the scriptwriters for Agents, namely Jeff Bell and Paul Zbysweski, both of whom will be taking the roles of showrunners if the pilot gets picked up to become a series.

The Verge reports that the new project is not so much a spinoff but rather "an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story," though the people behind the show are keeping pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing.

With their SHIELD training and experience, besides the Inhumans having just appeared into the MCU, the possibilities of what these two characters could be up to when doing their own thing are pretty much endless. One thing is for sure: they'll continue to have a vastly complicated relationship where they break up a lot and possibly get remarried or just hook up while drunk.

If the show is greenlit, this would be the third one on ABC (after SHIELD and Agent Carter), with at least two more coming out in Netflix over the course of 2016: the second season of Daredevil next spring and the Luke Cage mini-series, expected at some point next fall.
