'Quantico' Star Priyanka Chopra to Produce 3 Films Under Her Purple Pebble Pictures!

Priyanka Chopra is a name that is now famous in both Bollywood and Hollywood. The former Miss World 2000 amazed her fans in India by with a great performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. At the same time, the Indian born actress won her first People's Choice Award for her role in ABC's Quantico. Now it is Chopra's turn to produce feature films under her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP).

Recently, Chopra announced that with PPP they are going to focus into regional cinema and they will be releasing three projects, all of which will release in 2016. Keeping with her vision for film-making, Chopra created PPP so that the newcomers will be getting a platform to tell their stories and reach the right audience. The newcomers can vary from actors to directors, screenwriters and cinematographers. Apart from regional films, PPP will also focus on other areas that includes Hindi cinema, television content, advertisements and new-age digital content.

Talking about her new initiative, Chopra was quoted by Bollywood Hungama as stating:

"Today entertainment has a wide canvas which is not restricted by language or medium. At Purple Pebble Pictures, we are aspiring to erase boundaries and create an environment where the content / story is the hero. We are a country filled with exceptional young talent and our endeavor is to provide a platform for talent across the entertainment business to showcase their abilities."

The three feature films that will be produced by PPP will be:

1. Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi:

Written and directed by Santosh Mishra, Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi will be in Bhojpuri language and will follow the love story between Nirahau and Amrapali Dubey. The film will go on floor by the end of this month and is scheduled to release in the summer of 2016.

2. Ventilator:

Written and directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, who rose to fame by directing Ferrari Ki Sawaari, Ventilator will be in Marathi language. The comedy drama will feature a ensemble cast of famous Marathi film actors. The film will go on floor by Feb. and is scheduled to release in August 2016.

3. Ek Onkar:

Written and directed by Karan Guliani, Ek Onkar will be in Punjabi language. The film will follow the story of a young NRI who comes back to India to find about himself and his family. The film will go on floor in March and is scheduled to release in Nov. 2016.

Chopra will soon be seen in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal. The trailer has been received with positive views from both fans and the media. The film is scheduled to release on March 4, 2016
