There is still no change for rapper Bobby Shmurda. Shmurda, aka Ackquille Jean Pollard, has been behind bars for a little over a year stemming from conspiracy to commit murder charges. While his lawyers have been trying every way possible to get the 21-year-old out of jail, they keep coming up short. It is being reported that the rapper's request for bail to be removed or reduced has been denied for the seventh time.

According to TMZ, the rapper and his lawyer Alex Spiro believe that his bail is set way too high for a judge to grant his bail request. His bail, which currently stands at $2 million, is in no way being reduced. A New York City judge denied the rapper's request to lower his bail on Tuesday. This news comes as a shock as a month and a half ago his family was ready to bail him out. The family wanted to use their property as collateral but the judge denied their request.

Spiro explained to the judge that the bail is set too high because the rapper's net worth was estimated at $20 million originally and was overly exaggerated. According to Spiro, the truth of the matter is that Shmurda's net worth is more around $427K so his bail should be in the ballpark of the $50K-$100K range.

Shmurda was arrested alongside his fellow GS9 gang members for the murder charges as well as gun and drug possession. The judge may be possibly trying to make an example of the rapper in an effort to limit the drug and gun violence within the city.

Luckily for Shmurda, Spiro has no plans of throwing in the towel. Spiro told TMZ that he will not stop trying to get the $2 million lowered even if he has to put the request in 55 times. It remains to be seen if this persistence will pay off.
