Earlier this week, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin endorsed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, and the world couldn't stop laughing—including current Daily Show host Trevor Noah. The Comedy Central lead recently gave his stamp of approval on Palin's endorsement, noting that he loved every single minute of it.

Noah kicked off the segment admitting that he's somewhat relieved that as the presidential race goes on to find that several warnings he was given towards the beginning of his Daily Show takeover—mainly that if he knows nothing about American politics, he will not succeed—were completely inaccurate.

"Their exact words were, 'As an outsider, I don't know if you'll survive,'" he said. But given the fact that, according to him, several presidential candidates are "in the same position" as he, namely Republican candidates Donald J. Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, he'll probably do just fine.

Noah joked that he feels every time reads something in the paper that he didn't quite grasp before, there's Trump right behind him reading the same thing, thinking the exact same thing.

He then proceeded to admit that Trump's reign in politics, despite having no clue what he's doing, followed a similar path taken by Palin back when she was running with John McCain. Which might be something a number of people could think given Palin's recent, and rather confusing, endorsement of Donald Trump.

"And of course like every version of an iPhone, you know the second one is better, but you've still gotta give props to the original. And Sarah Palin was the original."

The above, of course, isn't the first time Noah has given his genuine opinion of Trump and his campaign. Earlier this week the comedian took issue with Trump's speech at Liberty University where he attempted to convince a group of evangelical Christians that he is in fact a believer. Something of which Noah isn't quite convinced.
