The Girls are back for season 5, the second-to-last before the show that turned Lena Dunham into a superstar ends its run on HBO. In the new trailer for the show, Dunham's Hannah Horvath, who by the end of the last season had quit her super damaging relationship with Adam Driver's character, faces the very relatable ordeal of having no idea what to do with her life now and being basically lost.

The show's fourth season ended with big changes for the leading ladies: Marni (Allison Williams) got married, Shosh (Zosia Mamet) moved to Tokyo for a job and, of course, Hannah got together with a new man, leaving Adam behind. But it seems things aren't quite right with them now that they're taking new steps in their lives.

According to The Huffington Post, the theme of the new season seems to be that, even though the girls are growing older and making big life decisions, that doesn't mean they're remotely any wiser. In the new trailer, Marnie and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) confront Hannah about her life, telling her she has to generally change her attitude about relationships, "otherwise you're going to end up alone, like Cher," says Marnie.

Still, as Entertainment Weekly reports, things aren't looking too bright for Marnie either. As she lectures her best friend about the challenges of her relationship, one key component is missing: her new husband, Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) is nowhere to be found on the trailer for the new season.

Driver himself does appear but only for a split second. Considering he was pretty busy shooting what turned out to be the biggest film of the year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it would hardly be a surprise if he didn't have that much screen time in the fifth season.
