By popular demand from fans and critics, Fox is just days away from bringing back their iconic sci-fi/horror series. After the upcoming revival of The X-Files, will agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) returns for "10 more episodes" in Season 11?

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

In an interview with Spinoff Online, because the revival is a 6 part miniseries, will Duchovny return as Mulder for a full 22 episode arc? Duchovny answers, "Not a full series, no, not every year. But I think we can do more than six; we can do eight or 10. But it depends on how it does. It depends on if people really want to see it. I feel that they do. I feel like it's going to do really well. So I would bet that we would come back and do another iteration of it. I'm not sure how many, but it will never be 22 or 24 episodes again. We're just too old, can't work that hard."

Money will also de a deciding factor since Anderson was initially offered less than Duchovny to return in the revival. In an interview with The Daily Beast, The Fall actress argues, "Especially in this climate of women talking about the reality of [unequal pay] in this business, I think it's important that it gets heard and voiced. It was shocking to me, given all the work that I had done in the past to get us to be paid fairly. I worked really hard toward that and finally got somewhere with it."

The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
