The CW network continues with Season 2 of The Flash. After his previous confrontation with Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) be too late to stop Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and his "ultimate betrayal?"

In our previous recap, the Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre) broke both Trickster (Mark Hamill) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) from prison. While Iris was telling her father Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) about his long-lost son, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) shared a kiss with Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears). With Captain Cold out of the picture, the Flash raced into the air fighting the Weather Wizard and stopped the Trickster's detonation. As Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) betrayed the others, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) shocked everyone when he arrived at their doorstep.

In our recent recap, while Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) discovered Wally West's crimes for drag racing, Barry had to confront the metahuman, Cisco's White Whale, The Turtle. Barry has been having nightmare about Zoom killing Patty. As Patty doubted how strong her relationship was with Barry, The Flash actually risked his life to stop Turtle from killing her. As Caitlin discovered Jay was dying, Barry had to say goodbye to Patty, who was leaving Central City and breaking up with him.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals if Wells is the perfect spy, "Essentially the devil has his child and is telling him to turn on all these people. The irony this time is that the more time they all spend together, the more time they work together defeating villains, the more they all come to embrace him. This Wells just wanted to save his daughter. He didn't come over here to make friends and find a family. The emotional toll that this possible betrayal is taking on him is some of Tom's best work. It's so different this year. "

Kreisberg adds, "We're really proud and excited about this storyline this season for Tom. How it's going to continue to play out is really exciting."

The Flash continues Season 2 on the CW Tuesdays at 8pm.
