The time has come for Celine Dion to say her final goodbyes to the love of her life, Rene Angelil. MStars News learned that the singer stayed close to her three sons and held on tight to her eldest son, Rene-Charles, during her husband's funeral services.

Tributes for the late music manager started on Thursday night in Montreal, where Dion and her family held an open-casket visitation for mourners to pay their last respects to Angelil at the Notre Dame Basilica Church where the two tied the knot 21 years ago.

During Thursday's memorial, the singer said: "The support we've received has been such a blessing." The 47-year-old stood beside her step-sons, Patrick and Jean-Pierre Angelil, in a receiving line during Thursday's service.

"Celine is Quebec. She is an ambassador for Quebec. And this was her great love, and we had to be there for her. They're inseparable," Montreal native, Judith Picard said while waiting over three hours to pay her respects and met Dion. "They're like one person, and now she lost half of herself. So I feel for her. And he was such a great man, and he was such a great soul. We had to celebrate his life coming here today."

MStars News previously reported that Angelil died on Jan. 14 at the age of 73 just a few days before his birthday after a long battle with throat cancer. We also learned that Dion's older brother, Daniel Dion, also died after his battle with cancer just two days after Angelil.

It will seem like deja vu as Dion attends another funeral for her late brother on Monday. Dion's brother's funeral service will be held at the Saint-Simon-et-Jude Church in Charlemagne, where the Dion family is from.
