Kajol Devgan Regrets Being a Part of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dilwale' - Find Out Why [WATCH]

Bollywood most loved on screen couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Devgan, was recently seen after a gap of almost 5 years in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale. But there are reports that the lead actress was very disappointed after signing the project.

A recent report from PinkVilla suggests that when Shetty and Khan offered Dilwale to Devgan, she was thinking to sign Sujoy Ghosh's Durga Rani Singh but she chose Dilwale over Durga Rani Singh because of her closeness with Khan.

Ghosh first offered Durga Rani Singh to Devgan but when she declined the offer to work in the film, Ghosh offered the part to Kahaani actress, Vidhya Balan. There were also reports that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, was offered the lead role in the biopic. However, there has not been any confirmation on the cast of Durga Rani Singh from Ghosh and his team.

Devgan now regrets not being part of Ghosh's most anticipated project, Durga Rani Singh. Ghosh is famous in Bollywood for making films like Kahaani, Ahalya and Aladin. Now, from recent reports, it looks like Devgan is not only unhappy about the poor response Dilwale got ,but she is also very upset as she thinks that she would have got a better opportunity to showcase her acting if she could have worked with Ghosh.

It was earlier reported by Mstars News that there were reports in 2014 that Devgan will share screen space with her husband, Ajay Devgan, and will also work as a producer under their production house, ADF (Ajay Devgn Films), but she chose to work with Khan in Dilwale. It was around the same time when Ajay got busy in working his dream project, Shivaay. Devgan was quoted by DNA India as responding:

"Yes, we have planned a film under the ADF (Ajay Devgn Films) banner. We have a script in hand and are just refining it further with a couple of important things that need to be sorted."

So, it looks like to work with Khan in Dilwale, Devgan had to lose two major projects. We just hope that in coming time, she will work in those films which do not disappoint her and her fans.
