In watching last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, fans were given a taste of things to come – in that Larry David is returning to SNL on Feb. 6 as the host! Following the popularity of his Bernie Sanders impression, which immediately took the Internet by storm, David has made several appearances on the show, and it's probably safe to say he'll dazzle us all yet again with the impersonation of the Vermont senator in a couple of weeks.

David is of course no stranger to Saturday Night Live, as he once worked for the series in the 80s before creating the now legendary series Seinfeld alongside Jerry Seinfeld. David reportedly got one sketch on the air, and thus screamed at one of the high-ranking producers at SNL (not Lorne Michaels) and seemingly quit the show.

Upon realizing how much money he lost in quitting, he then decided to head back into the offices on Monday morning and continue working as if nothing had happened. Strangely enough, it seemed to work out well for David, who was able to finish out his run at SNL. He then took the story and applied it to Jason Alexander's George Costanza in Seinfeld some years later. Sadly, it didn't quite work out the same for Costanza.

Quitting aside, David has recently become a favorite for SNL viewers, as he began playing Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders as the 2016 presidential debates kicked off. It all stemmed from many claiming that both David and Sanders look all too similar to one another.

Which is sort of hard to argue.

Larry David will take to the SNL stage as host this coming Feb. 6 alongside musical guest The 1975.
