It appears that everyone has their Bernie Sanders impression. Whether it be comedian James Adomian or the ever so below Larry David – who recently reprised that impersonation on Saturday Night Live this past weekend with host Donald Trump – there are many who are trying to get it down. But on Friday's episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, politician Anthony Weiner took a stab at it.

And, well, it was just okay.

Of course, having said that, we still loved it.

The impression came after the show during what Maher calls "Overtime." After the show, Maher, along with his guests, accept questions via social media and air it on YouTube for the online audience. During the segment, Weiner was asked, "Given his affiliation as an independent, is Bernie Sanders an appropriate standard bearer for the Democratic Party?"

The New York politician answered saying that it's a conversation he would actually have with Sanders "all the time." He would attempt to sway the Vermont senator to come to the Democratic side. Sadly, he was met with much failure.

"He would say, 'No, I'm not a democrat. I don't believe in what you guys are doing. You're all wrong,'" Weiner explained in a pretty noticeable Sanders voice, adding, "That's my Larry David impression."

Which was a win.

Weiner continued that Sanders is actually swaying to be the democratic standard bearer for a "practical" reason.

"You really can't get elected as a socialist or an independent, but it does kind of eat into his authenticity thing," he told Maher.

So, what did you think of the impression?
