Despite all of the controversy surrounding the Oscars as of late, given the fact that there were zero nominations for African Americans for the second year in a row, host Chris Rock is reportedly not stepping down as the host. In fact, he's decided to trash the show he's already written and start putting in some newer jokes centering on the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

Several African American celebrities have reached out to Rock via social media asking the comedian to step down from hosting the Academy Awards. Both 50 Cent and Tyrese Gibson have called for further boycotts from the Top Five star. But per an interview with Entertainment Tonight, it looks like Rock isn't planning on stepping down at all.

In fact, it's just going to get more controversial.

Per an interview with Oscars producer Reginald Hudlin, ET was able to learn that Rock is "hard at work" in putting together the show. He reportedly finished his monologue as well as all of the jokes a couple of weeks ago. But of course, that was before all of the Oscar nominations came out. Now, he's decided to trash the show and come up with all new jokes.

"He and his writing staff locked themselves in a room." Hudlin said, adding, "As things got a little provocative and exciting, he said, 'I'm throwing out the show I wrote and writing a new show.'"

Hudlin further called Rock "that thorough" and explained that he was "1000 percent confident" that the comedian is going to deliver a show people will continue to discuss for weeks after it airs.

Despite not stepping down, Rock hasn't been quiet about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy. Actually, when dropping a promo for the show, he called the show the "White BET Awards" and further urged his fans to watch.

The #Oscars. The White BET Awards.
