Zayn Malik may not have the best relationship with his former One Direction bandmates when he left the group, but it seems like the tables have turned and the singer is now open to reunite with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan in the future.

According to The Sunday Times, Malik shared that there's a possibility that he will get together with the four remaining 1D members.

“Who knows? I don’t know," the 23-year-old laughed and said as he spoke candidly to the site while promoting his new single "Pillowtalk."

"If the time was right and that was the thing to do, then I would make that decision when it came around,” he continued.

Gigi Hadid's rumored boyfriend also revealed that even though he didn't plan to leave the group in a bad note but he said that it was really his time to go.

"By that point, I just knew that I wanted to go. I was fed up. I didn’t wanna do that any more," he said.

Although he didn't really confirm that the reunion will actually happen, at least the new interview is so much different from his other interviews where he dissed One Direction with no hesitation.

Malik did a tell-all with Fader magazine back in November where he revealed that he was never a fan of 1D's music. He said that after leaving the famous British-Irish boyband, his fans will finally hear his music "...and they’ll understand why I did what I did, and why I left the band, and why I had to write all this sh*t down."

He then opened up to Billboard magazine talking about his solo career and how he really feels about One Direction's new music, specifically their album Made In The A.M.

“I’ll be honest, I thought the first single was quite cool,” he told the magazine, referring to “Drag Me Down.” But the compliment quickly changed into another diss when he said, “I heard the second single ["Perfect"] and—yeah, I didn’t buy the album.”
