It seems there's some confusion about what Oscar host Chris Rock will say come Feb. 28. ABC's Oscar co-producer, Reginald Hudlin, said earlier this week that Rock had completely trashed his original plan for the show. But now, a rep for Rock is disputing Hudlin's comments. This begs the question, what can audiences really expect from the comedian on Oscar Sunday?

Hudlin originally told Entertainment Tonight that Rock threw away his ideas for the show, saying, ""He and his writing staff locked themselves in a room. As things got a little provocative and exciting, he said, 'I'm throwing out the show I wrote and writing a new show.'"

Hudlin's comments come after a huge backlash came about after it was revealed that no people of color had been nominated in any acting categories for a second year in a row. Since then, multiple celebrities have called for a boycott of the show, and even for Rock to step down as host.

Now, a spokesperson for Rock is dismissing the claims saying that Hudlin, "nor anyone else, speaks for Chris."

Publicist for the comedian, Leslie Sloane continued, "Chris has made no decisions about the content of the show. All will be revealed on February 28."

Rock previously joked on Twitter that the Oscars were the "white BET awards," but Hudlin says the jokes won't stop there. "The Academy is ready for him to do that. They're excited about him doing that," he said. "They know that's what we need. They know that's what the public wants, and we deliver what the people want."

Actor Don Cheadle is also on board the Chris Rock fan train. He told PEOPLE that he didn't think the comedian should step down from his job as host, saying the event is a "career-defining moment" for him.

Speaking frankly of the matter, Cheadle said, "I mean, there is no one better poised, in my opinion, or equipped to go in on this sh---."

"And I hope when he does, he skewers everybody," Cheadle continued, "the people who are complaining about it, the people who were passed up, the people that weren't passed up, the whole idea of being passed up for this award and what it means, racism, the lack of diversity - all of it."

Catch the Oscars on Feb. 28 on ABC to see what, or who, Rock ends up "skewering."
