Lululemon, one of the leading brands for yoga gear, has been making controversial headlines for its sheer nylon and Lycra yoga pants. Celebrities like Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Garner, Gisele Bunchen, and Kim Kardashian are all fans of the yoga pants, but many customers say that the way LuLulemon is dealing with the pants scandal has them upset.

Women are reporting that the Vancouver-based company is asking them to try on their too-sheer pants and bend over in front of sales associates who will assess them before a return is permitted, according to Yahoo.com.

Lululemon recalled 17 percent of their $100 per pair yoga pants, sold between March 1 and March 8th due to revealing yoga pants that had women fretting the "downward dog." Lululemon released this statement on their blog:

"At the beginning of March, our stores and ecommerce site received some black luon women's bottoms that didn't meet our high standards. The materials used in construction were the same but the coverage was not, resulting in increased sheerness. We want you to Down Dog and Crow with confidence and we felt these pants didn't measure up."

But despite the recall LuLulemon denies inforcing their staff to require women to bend over and prove that the pants were sheer, according to The Huffington Post Canada. However, Lululemon CEO Christine Day said:

"The truth of the matter is, the only way that you can actually test for the issue is to put the pants on and bend over... It wasn't until we got in the store and started putting it on people that we could actually see the issue."

This isn't the first-time Lululemon's sheer pants have been a topic of discussion. A set of light-colored pants it sells comes with a disclaimer, reports Reuters: "You may experience sheerness with some of our bright-colored bottoms because of the lightweight nature of the fabric. We recommend you do a couple of Down Dogs in your bright-colored bottoms to ensure you're happy with the fit and coverage."

While celebs like Reese Witherspoon and Megan Fox are fond of their Lululemon gear, the company predicts that the recall is expected to diminish first-quarter revenue by US $12 million to US $17 million.
