'American Horror Story' Season 6 SPOILERS: Based on Slender Man? Will Lady Gaga Return?

The internet is buzzing with speculation around the theme for the next season of American Horror Story. Rumor has it that AHS season 6 could be based on Slender Man. This spine-tingling character, notoriously known for kidnapping children could be the most modern day monster yet, created in 2009. Will the award-winning Lady Gaga return to be Slender Man's partner in crime? Stay tuned to find out!

Slender Man may make all your nightmares come true if he is the focus for American Horror Story Season 6. Rumors began stirring last week, when an inside source shared with US Weekly that the terrifying internet meme could be what AHS writers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk  are plotting as their next scare.

"Someone else wrote the script, and AHS wants to adapt it to fit the show," says the insider. The biggest hurdle to overcome seems to be locking down permission to use the maniacal kidnapper. The insider further explained, "They have to buy the rights. Then they're going to figure out the cast from there."

In addition, the AHS producers hope that fan favorite, Lady Gaga will return to give more of her award-winning horror performances. The insider mentioned, "They're trying really hard to get her back!"

Slender Man started as a creepy meme created by Eric Knudsen for an internet forum in 2009 and has quickly spread to exist in books, video games, and online. Knudsen explained his motivation for Slender Man's creation was because his motivations aren't clear, which causes unease and terror in the general population. With this in mind, the AHS episodes could practically write themselves.

There has not been any official confirmation of the Slender Man rumors. As a matter of fact, a source at Entertainment Weekly says the AHS Season 6 plot has been decided on and Slender Man will not be the theme.
