Jose Aldo is requesting--no, demanding--a rematch with Conor McGregor. The former featherweight champion, who was dethroned by McGregor back in December in a fight that took the same amount of time it takes to slip on a sock, took to social media to express his desire for such a fight.

"Hi everyone, I was quiet for a while because I was waiting for my rematch based on how the fight went down, in fact I was already training for it, but apparently I was wrong," wrote Aldo. "So I wanted to make something clear to UFC: for everything I have done, everything I have accepted and mostly how the fight ended, I will not accept any other fight other than a title shot. My only exception would be fighting the notorious, at any time, anywhere, and once that he is afraid and knows that I'm gonna win .... Doesn't have to be title fight against him. Keep my belt, but I wanna whoop ur ass anywhere. @danawhite @lorenzofertitta @ufc keep ur word. I still believe in the company that I work for. #rematch"

Basically he's saying that he'll fight McGreogr, whether it's a title fight or a scrum in an Aldi's parking lot, or he'll fight the featherweight champion. Otherwise, he won't be offering his services to the UFC.

Unfortunately, for Aldo, it appears as though he may be unemployed for a while. McGregor is set to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title at UFC 197 on March 5. So any possible rematch with McGregor would have to be pushed back to the Irishman's next scheduled fight in July. However, UFC top dog, Dana White, has been vocal about that opportunity going to Frankie Edgar, who knocked out Chad Mendes in December.

So you see, it's a real mess for Aldo, who also has a legitimate gripe for the fight he's demanding--the guy went over a decade without a loss. But at this point, it looks like the fight he wants is slipping further and further away.
