The Netflix series Jessica Jones may have been all about female empowerment, but the show also introduced one of the most powerful men in the Marvel universe: Luke Cage, who was played by Mike Colter. Now that Luke will star in his own TV series, is there any possibility that we will be seeing Krysten Ritter's Jessica appear in the show?

In an interview with Marvel.com, Colter confirmed that Luke Cage will somehow still be connected to Jessica Jones.

"As far as a through-line [between the two shows], I feel like what you saw in Marvel's Jessica Jones will catapult him into moving into another part of the city, which is where Marvel's Luke Cage takes place," Colter said, adding that there will be no major changes to the character in his own series.

"The character's still true to that character from Marvel's Jessica Jones, but is going to be magnified and enlarged in a way that you get to see what he's thinking and his point of view and his perspective and what he's been dealing with that got him into the place where he is now," he said.

In addition to that, Colter hinted that there will be plenty of flashbacks in Luke Cage.

"I think we'll also see what makes him who he is and how he got to the point before he met Jessica," he said. "Each series has done a very good job of laying the groundwork for the super heroes in flashback form or whatever, but we'll get a lot more information about who he is and why he became who he is."

Marvel's Luke Cage will also star Rosario Dawson, whose character Claire Temple has appeared both in Daredevil and Jessica Jones. We have previously reported that Claire, who had tended to Luke when he got injured in Jessica Jones, will be the character's new love interest.

Watch out for Marvel's Luke Cage, which is expected to air on Netflix later this year.
