Ranveer Singh & Farooq Abdullah Dancing on “Malhari” Song From ‘Bajirao Mastani’ [WATCH]

Ranveer Singh's Bajirao Mastani was released in December 2015 and it's now almost three months but the craze of the film is still in the hearts of film lovers. At a recent award show, Singh and former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah surprised the audience by dancing on "Malhari" song from the period drama Bajirao Mastani.

On Feb. 2, 2016, Singh was awarded Entertainer of the Year Award at NDTV Indian of the Year 2016, by Mr. Abdullah and to amaze the audience, the duo shook legs on stage on "Malhari." The duo were unstoppable until the host of the evening, Barkha Dutt came in between and stopped the dance by saying: "I have to break up the party, guys."

Watching the 78-year old Mr. Abdullah dancing on "Malhari" was indeed a visual treat for the audience. Watch the video below:

According to NDTV, after dancing with Mr. Abdullah, Singh said that Bollywood's biggest stars like Amitabh Bachchan should be worried if Abdullah will switch the career. "I think Mr Bachchan would be in trouble if you took to acting," Ranveer told Mr Abdullah. To which, Mr. Abdullah replied that if the has to become an actor, he has wait for another life.

Even the CEO of NDTV Group, Vikram Chandra tweeted that he can think of no other senior politician from India, who would actually dance on a song like "Malhari."

In a response to Chandra, Mr. Abhudlla's son, Omar Abdullah tweeted: "Thanks goodness it was @RanveerOfficial & not his significant other."

Meanwhile, Singh, who is rumored to be dating his Bajirao Mastani co-star Deepika Padukone, is currently shooting for Aditya Chopra's next directorial venture, Befikre alongside Vaani Kapoor.

It was earlier reported by Mstars News that the plot of the Befikre is not revealed by the production team. Based on released posters, it looks like the film will have some deep romantic sequences between Singh and Kapoor's characters. The romantic film is scheduled for release on Dec. 9, 2016.
