There is no denying the fact that breakups are hard. It leaves the person with emotional stress but sometimes it makes you short $3 million dollars. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who were romantically involved with each other, have ended their long relationship and now there are reports that Kapoor is going to lose a large lump sum of money due to this.

Kapoor and Kaif started going out after the release of their rom-com, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and there were reports that, after dating each other for over six years, the couple rented a penthouse where they were living together for more than a year. It was earlier reported by MStars News that after breaking up with Kaif, Kapoor moved out from their apartment and shifted back with his parents. Now there are reports from Bollywood Life that suggest as the couple moved out from their apartment before the end of their rental agreement, they have to loose more than $3 million dollars as the security deposit for their love nest.

Kapoor and Kaif apparently invested a lot of their money in their penthouse collecting different artifacts from different countries they have travelled to together. A source close to the stars told Bollywood Life, "Ranbir's break-up is going to cost him financially. He will lose about Rs 21 crore (more than $3 million dollars) after moving out from the house he shared with Katrina."

Things started to go south between the couple when Kapoor began doing promotional events with his ex-girlfriend, Deepika Padukone, for their 2015 romantic film, Tamasha. Kaif, who earlier dated Sultan star Salman Khan, was apparently not happy with Kapoor's closeness with his ex. Both the stars soon realized that their relationship was not heading anywhere and decided to part ways.

Loosing $3 million dollar is not the only thing which Kapoor has to worry at this moment; his dream project, Jagga Jasoos is in production for more than three years and there is no update as to when director Anurag Basu will be able to finish the shooting.
