Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran were performing at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center when there apparently was a bit of a glitch in the show. Swift was performing the song "Everything Has Changed" with British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran when things seemed to go wrong. Swift is on tour to promote her new album "Red" which sold over 1 million copies in its first week of release last October.

If you watch the video (below) it's easy to see something isn't right with the audio. Sheeran seems to be way off with his vocals, but to Swift's credit she keeps performing. At one moment, Swift leans in to talk to Sheeran and say something in his ear. As the song continues, Sheeran still seems out of whack, and in the video, you can see Swift say something else to Sheeran. So what was the problem?

Well, mid-song, Swift tells the crowd, "Live shows, ladies and gentlemen! Give it up for Ed Sheeran playing even though his ears went out!" Swift handled the problem like a pro, in what could have been a disastrous situation. With there being video of the situation, if Swift handled the mess up in an immature way, it would have been much worse. Instead, Swift kept plugging along, even explaining the situation to the live audience in the middle of the performance.

Clearly the mess up didn't distract the live audience as they were cheering and singing along anyways. However, kudos to Swift for being a professional and avoiding a blooper moment on stage.

You can watch the YouTube video below for yourself and let us know what you think. Did Taylor Swift do a good job of handling the technical glitch?

Taylor Swift is also set to appear on FOX's "New Girl" finale May 14. "New Girl" is one of FOX's most popular shows, so be sure to tune in to see what role Swift ends up playing.
