Kevin Ware Injury [VIDEO]: Louisville Cardinals Star Suffers Gruesome Leg Injury during NCAA Game Against Duke: Players, Coaches, Fans' Emotional Response, #Win4Ware

During Louisville's NCAA Elite Eight game against Duke Sunday night (March 31), Cardinals star Kevin Ware suffered a devastatingly gruesome leg injury with 6 minutes and 33 seconds left in the first half. With Louisville leading 21-17 in the Midwest Regional final, Ware attempted to contest a three-point shot by Blue Devils player Tyler Thornton. After Ware's initial jump, the sophomore b-baller landed awkwardly on his right leg, resulting in what appears to be a painful broken bone. CBS reports that Ware suffered a broken leg (compound fracture) and was taken to an area hospital near Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for treatment. Warning, the below clips of Ware's injury are very graphic:

The game stopped for several minutes as medics tended to Ware's leg and quickly loaded him onto a stretcher. Both Louisville and Duke players, as well as Cardinals coach Rick Pitino, were spotted on the sidelines, tearing up during the injury timeout.
