CBS and the CW Network prepare for the epic crossover between DC Comics' Supergirl and The Flash. In the photo from upcoming crossover episode, will Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) meet as their costumed superheroes?

In our recent recap, with the incoming alien invasion almost upon Earth, Supergirl was taken out of the picture and kept in a comatose. Alex (Chyler Leigh) had to break into Kara's dream state and remind her that the perfect fantasy wasn't real. It was an all-out battle between Martian Manhunter and Astra (Laura Benanti). With Manhunter's life in danger, Alex stepped in and drove the Kyrptonite blade through Astra's chest

In our other recap, Barry traveled to Earth-2 alongside Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Disguised as his doppelgänger, Barry discovered his counterpart was married to Iris and his was mother still alive. Meanwhile, Joe West (Jesse L. West) had to deal with the metahuman Geomancer with the help of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears). But danger lurked nearby as Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Deathstorm (Robbie Amell) attacked, starting off the death count.

As we previously mentioned, Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg teased the crossover, "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."

According to TV Line, Gustin shared behind-the-scenes images on his official Instagram account. On set and in costume, the former Glee actor writes in one of the captions, "Those two emblems look pretty good together."
