Bollywood talented actor, Emraan Hashmi is currently busy shooting gothic horror film Raaz 4 in Romania, and after finishing the project, he will start working on Murder 4. If reports are to be believed, then the plot of Murder 4 shares an extraordinary resemblance with the sensational Sheena Bora murder case.

It was reported that Hashmi's next film in the Murder franchise will follow the real life incidents of the Bora murder case. However, to refute the rumors, writer-director Vikram Bhatt said that the similarities in the Murder 4 script and the Bora murder case are just a coincidence.

National Award winning director Mahesh Bhatt also confessed in 2015 that he was shocked after hearing the Bora murder case as it shares a huge resemblance to his script, Ab Raat Guzarnewali Hai (Now Night is Going to Pass!). While talking with the Mumbai Mirror, Vikram said that the story of Murder 4 will explore the "depravity" of the human mind to some degree.

"One wants to explore the depravity of the human mind the way it was done in Murder 2, to an extent."

Bora, an executive working for Mumbai Metro One, went missing on April 24, 2012.  In August 2015, Mumbai Police arrested her mother Indrani Mukherjea, her stepfather Sanjeev Khanna and her mother's driver Shyamvar Pinturam Rai, for allegedly abducting and killing Bora as well as subsequently burning her corpse.  According to India Today, Khanna and Rai have confessed to the crime whereas Mukherjea has repeatedly said that Bora is alive and is currently living in the United States.

The real-life story of Bora and her family surely could inspire a good thriller movie, and when it comes to Murder franchise, one can only hope that the Bhatt brothers will do proper justice to the events with the film.

Meanwhile, Mahesh also shed some light on Hashmi's character in Murder 4. Mahesh said that for his role in Murder 4, Hashmi has to reinvent his onscreen image and the upcoming installment in the Murder franchise will be bigger and better.

"It's too early to reveal the details of his character, but it's a strong role and will reinvent his image, along with the Azhar biopic. I am just waiting for Vikram to complete the Raaz Reboot, and then we will plan this one. It's been a lucrative franchise for us and we have to make Murder 4 bigger and better," Mahesh further added.
