'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Alexandra Breckenridge, Chandler Riggs!

AMC aired the mid-Season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead. Twitter had lots to say as Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) witnessed the shocking twist between his son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and his new love Jessie Anderson (Alexandra Breckenridge).

As we previously mentioned, Rick (Lincoln) has his hands full since the collapse of the wall. In the mid-season finale, Glenn (Steven Yuen) saw Maggie (Lauren Cohan) trapped on a platform as she was surrounded by walkers. In order to get to safe ground, Rick had to cove himself in blood and guts, in order for the walkers to lose his scent. But with the a frightened child on board, drawing himself attention amidst the walker horde, just about how far will Rick be able to get away?

In our recent recap, Jessie and her youngest son were devoured by the walker horde. Because Jessie was holding onto Carl, Rick had to chop her hand off. Though Michonne (Danai Gurira) drove her sword into Ron, he fired off a shot, hitting Carl in the eye. With his son in the infirmary, Rick had enough and started hacking away at the walkers. Knowing Rick was fighting for them, the community joined Rick as they took their last stand against the herd to save Alexandria.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Breckenridge describes her death scene, "Oh, it was just super sad. It was just really sad. I mean, this mother is watching her child be eaten alive. I can't think of something worse, I really can't. It's just excruciating, and so being in the moment as an actor was just horrifying. But almost all of the series regular cast came out to watch that night and be there as support, so that was pretty incredible."
