Marvel's Daredevil Season 2: Charlie Cox, Jon Bernthal Netflix Premiere Date, Promo, Trailer

Netflix has announced the official premiere date for the upcoming Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil. In the latest promo of the sophomore season, check out Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Frank Castle aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) in their official trailer.

We previously mentioned, Netflix has announced Season 2 of the Man Without Fear series. With executive producer Steven S. DeKnight stepping down, new showrunners Doug Petrie (American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy) will take over the reins. The man without fear continues his crime-fighting adventures after defeating Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), which nearly came with a heavy cost.

We also mentioned, the former Walking Dead actor will portray their most popular characters. The Punisher and Daredevil will become at odds over the differences between justice and vengeance. Known as the Greek Girl, Elektra (Elodie Yung) makes a surprise return to Murdock's life.

According to TV Line, Marvel's very own anti-hero is practically in every scene of the footage. The trailer even features a bit of Frank Castle's origin story, hinting at the family he couldn't save. Back in the present, Matt Murdock is dealing with the aftermath of The Kingpin's defeat, knowing his crusade isn't over. Though "he is just a bad day" away from crossing the line, Daredevil believes he is nothing like Punisher.

As the romantic triangle between Murdock and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) continues, she knows Daredevil is responsible for the creation of The Punisher. Whatever Frank Castle has in store for Hell's Kitchen, they have the responsibility to bring him down.

As Forbes mentions, Netflix/Marvel is considering giving The Punisher his own spinoff series. With the launch of Luke Cage and Iron Fist, we will have to wait and find out if The Punisher will be part of The Defenders in the long run.

Marvel's Daredevil Season 2 hits Netflix on March 18.
