If season 12 ends up being the only season Nicki Minaj appears on as a judge for "American Idol" it won't be without its moments. The "Super Bass" rapper got into a much talked about argument with fellow diva and judge Mariah Carey, she reportedly has been quite the diva on set, has showed up late to a live taping, and now she is in a feud with contestant Devin Velez.

"American Idol" is almost worth tuning into just to see what Nicki Minaj will say or do next. Nicki and recently ousted contestant Devin Velez find themselves in a war of words. 18-year-old Velez wasn't too happy that he was voted off "American Idol" after a disastrous performance from all three male contestants on Motown week. Burnell Taylor, Lazaro Arbos, and Devin Velez tried to perform the classic song "I Can't Help Myself" and they butchered the performance. Nicki ended up playing the role of Simon Cowell and laying into them for their unimpressive performance saying, "I'm gonna act like I didn't see that or hear it," before ordering them off the stage.

You would think this would be the end of it. Velez was voted off the stage and the young singer will either go into obscurity with the rest of us or possibly turn his "Idol" appearances into a successful singing career. However, Velez isn't going down without a fight. During a press conference last week Velez said he agreed with part of Nicki's assessment, but not everything. "I agree with the first half of her critique, when she said that it felt like it was Hollywood week, that it was a joke, that stuff like that should not happen, that she was going to pretend that she didn't hear it," Velez said. "When she went crazy - when she was like 'get off the stage, blah blah blah' and it's just like 'whoa Miss Minaj, I need you to calm down please.'" Uh, oh. Maybe someone should remind Velez who he is talking about.

Nick took to her Twitter account @NickiMinaj and tweeted, "Lol. Be mad @ AMERICA when u get sent home. The JUDGES are the ones who FOUGHT for America to get the opp to VOTE 4 U!!! #memba?" She continued, "Send the judges some flowers and a card. If Curtis didn't get SAVED, NONE of u get saved! Best male voice of the SEASON!!!!!!!!!!! #TruthTea" As I'm sure you can imagine, Nicki didn't stop there telling "Idol" contestants to just be gracious. "Trust me BEW BEW. If EYE didn't want u in that TOP, YOU wldnt have been in that TOP. Fought for ALL of you. So just simply b gracious."

Surprisingly Velez didn't take this sitting down. Velez responded with his own Twitter attack. Velez reportedly tweeted the following before deleting it, "That moment when an adult stoops down to the 3rd grade level ... LOL grow up Hun, I've got songs to write. #movingforward." Velez may be the dumbest contestant yet for picking a fight with Nicki or maybe he is the smartest because everyone is still talking about him. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
