It's no secret that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature cameos from Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. However, it looks like an old rumor about Jenna Malone's role in the film has finally been revealed: The Hunger Games actress will be playing Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl!

ComicBookMovie.com has come across a French magazine, which has featured the supporting cast of Batman v Superman. The magazine has included a few details about the actors and the characters that they will portray. Malone's role has been listed as James Gordon's daughter who eventually suits up to help Batman keep Gotham safe.

In addition to confirming Malone's role in the film, the magazine also confirmed that Scoot McNairy will appear as Jimmy Olsen while Callan Mulvey will play the villain Anatoli Knyazev, who is also known as KGBeast.

Although it is highly unlikely that Malone will be slipping into the Batgirl suit in Batman v Superman, she might be going up against the character responsible for her infamous comic book injury.

The bottom of the magazine's page also lists other actors who will be in the film including Younger star Dan Amboyer, who we have previously reported is being rumored to play Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. However, the most notable inclusion is Academy Award winner Jared Leto, who is slated to appear as The Joker in Suicide Squad. The magazine notes that Leto will appear as the supervillain in a flashback scene.

So will Malone's Barbara go up against Leto's Joker in a flashback? There have been previous speculations that Batgirl's torture in the hands of the villain will be one of the pivotal scenes in Batman v Superman and it will certainly set the pace for the Joker's role in Suicide Squad.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot. The film will premiere on March 25.
