Teresa Giudice turned down an offer to appear on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. The 43-year-old was recently released from the Federal Correctional Institution for women in Danbury, CT., where she served time last year from January 5th till December 23rd. Her husband Joe Giudice begins his 41 month sentence in March.

According to People, Giudice was approached by ABC to appear on the upcoming spring installment of the dancing competition, which premiers on March 21st, but declined. A source close to her claimed "Her focus in family. Her kids are in school and she would not have wanted to be away from them, even for a couple days a week. She sacrificed a nice paycheck to be home with her girls." Ironically, Giudice will appear in the upcoming season of her popular Bravo series The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

As for DWTS, Giudice isn't the first celebrity to turn it down. However there are several others that should have. Here is a list of the top 7.

7) Gary Busey

The eccentric actor appeared just last year in season 21 where he was paired with pro Anna Trebunskaya. Although he had a certain charm that made you want to root for him, it couldn't off-set his somewhat lack of coordination. In addition, his long and somewhat confusing comments to host Erin Andrews made for some very uncomfortable moments. He was eliminated in third place.

6) Lola Jones

The track & field athlete appeared in season 19 with partner Keoikantse Motsepe. Aside from the fact that her dancing wasn't great, she pouted like a sore loser when she received bad marks and of course her biggest problem...she had less fame then some cats on YouTube so who would vote for her? It was no surprise she was the first one eliminated.

5) Billy Dee Williams

The Star Wars legend appeared in season 18 with pro Emma Slater. Unfortunately, being 77 at the time made his performance somewhat painful to viewers and obviously to him as he eventually withdrew from the competition on doctor's orders.

4) Wynonna Judd

The country music songstress gave her voice a rest to appear in season 16 with partner Tony Dovolani. However judging from her performance, she probably should have kept singing. Not only was she not gracious on the dance floor, but when criticized by judges, she snapped "I'm a singer, not a dancer."  Too bad for her, it was a dancing competition, not a singing one. Although Dorothy Hamill was technically the first to exit the show that season because of medical reasons, Judd was the first voted off.

3) Nancy Grace

The legal commentator appeared in season 13 with dancing pro Tristan MacManus. Grace was 52 at the time and hadn't lost all her baby weight from the birth of her twins four years prior to that. Perhaps this attributed to not only slow dance moves, but a look on her face that said "I'd rather be ten other places then this." She would be eliminated in eighth place and go back to where she's obviously more at home, discussing the exciting world of trial law.

2) David Hasselhoff

The star of Baywatch turned in his bathing suit for dance shoes in season 11 when he danced with partner Kym Johnson.  Unfortunately, his moves made it look as though he was dancing on sand. Had the show been taped in Germany, where he is reportedly an icon, he probably would have won but here in America he was the first one voted off.

1) Kate Gosselin

The woman made famous by having eight children and then divorcing their father appeared in Season 10 with former Wynonna Judd partner Tony Dovolani. One need only watch ten seconds of any of her few performances to know why she should have stayed home with the kids. To date, she is widely considered the worst dancer in the show's history. In fact, some claim the only reason she miraculously made it to week four of the competition is because people voted for her so they could have something to laugh at each week.
