WGN America continues with the premiere their new original series, Outsiders. In episode 4, entitled Rubberneck, Big Foster (David Morse) and Little Foster (Ryan Hurst) are trying to defend their mountaintop homestead before the outside world takes it away from them.

As a little boy from the Farrell Clan spots a drone in the air, G'Winn Farrell (Gillian Alexy) is caught by surprise when Lady Ray Farrell (Phyllis Somerville)  suddenly wakes up. The first thing she wants to do is see Big Foster. Upon hearing she has woken up, Big Foster lies and promises he will see Lady Ray when he is good and ready.

Big Foster has to patch things up with Little Foster, because he needs his strength. He needs Little Foster by his side when Lady Ray starts her accusations. Big Foster also tells Little Foster to let G'Winn stray. She's a good woman, she'll come back to him.

With the drone damaged, Asa (Joe Anderson) heads back into town, looking for a repair shop. Asa convinces the owner to repair the drone, and trades for a jar of Farrell moonshine.  Asa returns back to the forest with a plan, but needs Hasil (Kyle Gallner)'s help for the assistance.

Hasil reveals to Asa that he has feelings for Sally-Ann. The big problem for Hasil is that he doesn't know how to spell her name. After Asa shows Hasil how to spell her name, he offers up the moonshine to him.

With the construction workers out of the job, Sheriff Wade Houghton (Thomas J. Wright) is having problems with his family, especially his brother-in-law Reese. The corporation offers a job to Reese, but his wife is wondering where the money is coming. Because Wade refuses to arrest the Farrell Clan, the corporation goes straight to his superior.

After being found drunk in a bar, Wade is forced to head to the mountain. With his superior and another officer, Wade is having a hard time walking around the forest. After getting lost, Wade's chief ends up getting decapitated after falling into a hunting trap.

Lady Ray meets with Big Foster, revealing she remembers him trying to kill her. If he comes after her again, Lady Ray promises she will squeal on him. Afraid of the clan's wrath, Big Foster knows he is at her mercy.

Big Foster then turns to Little Foster, revealing his biggest fear, Asa and G'Winn have slept together. Big Foster smiles as he watches Little Foster beat the crap of Asa. After his beating, G'Winn pays a visit to Asa and kisses him. She then goes to Little Foster, and says "yes," she will marry him.

Lady Ray Farrell tells Asa that she has a feeling about; sense he is meant to do something. What sa actually did was send in the droid to the home of the corporation executive. With the video inside, the executive realizes Asa knows all about his and his family's dark secrets.
